Day 1 - Monday Rome/Assisi/Siena/Firenze
Departure by deluxe motor coach to Assisi. Arrival and time at leisure to visit
this little medieval city. We reccomend the visit to the famous San Francis
Basilica, where you shall find Giotto's and Cimabue's masterpieces. (free time
for lunch, not included). Driving on the "autostrada del sole" we'll arrive in
Siena. This Gothic city is constructed on three hills in the heart of tuscany.
This monumental and medieval city is encircled by its ancient walls and is famous
for its splendid square "piazza del campo," designed in the shape of a shell.
Here, two times a year takes place the famous Palio horseback race. See also the
elegant "Palazzo del Popolo" with its slender bell tower and
the cathedral. In the afternoon continue on to Florence. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
Day 2 - Tuesday Firenze
Breakfast at the hotel and morning city tour during which you shall
appreciate the artistic beauty of Florence with its dome by Brunelleschi,
its bell tower by Giotto and its Baptistery. The sightseeing tour continues
through Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and finally the church of
Santa Croce. Time at leisure and return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Wednesday Firenze/Pisa/Padova/Venezia
Breakfast at hotel and departure
for the excursion to Pisa. This quiet and graceful town shows signs of its
past
and its greatness through the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, better known as the
"square of miracles" where we find the cathedral, the "worlf known" leaning tower
and the Baptistery. At the end of the visit,
departure towards Padova for a short visit of St. Anthony's Basilica, then continuing
towards Venice, the city of gondolas. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Thursday Venezia
Breakfast and departure fro your next destination.
