OLIVE HARVESTING, OLIVE OIL & WINE MAKING IN UMBRIA

A GREAT TOUR, GOOD PRICE AND "DIVERTENTE"
Group size limited to 10 people - 7-14 November 2008

Our Olive Oil Harvest/Cooking & Wine Tour will provide the perfect opportunity to experience the ancient and modern traditions that contribute to Italy's extraordinary reputation for food, wine and olive oil products.
Devoted to our mission statement we want participants to truly ...discover the genuine Italy, the out-of-the-way places where the sights and sounds of real people will provide wonderful memories for a life time...
Tour participants will hear the must quietly fermenting in the barrels and smell it in the air as it pervades the cellars, that distinctive inebriating smell. They will also participate in the olive harvest and be able to follow the olive-milling process, step-by-step, from the orchard to the bottle. This will help participants better understand the differences in quality and taste of various olive oils.
Cooking classes with one of Umbria's most respected chefs, an extensive sightseeing program, and ample free time to satisfy individual interests will add value to this unforgettable tour.
