Traditional Venetian Cooking Classes
A cooking class in the heart of Venice
The Venetian Cooking Classes will be take place in the Sestiere of Cannaregio near Campo S. Apostoli and Ca’ D’Oro Palace in a typical historical Venetian palace with frescoed ceiling, authentic furniture, precious fabrics and paintings from the Tintoretto school.
Cannaregio is one of the six districts of Venice and takes the name from the homonymous canal that was the main route into the city before railroad construction began.
Though the area was once populated by working class families and manufacturing, you can find elegant palazzos and interesting architecture in the Jewish Ghetto area. The cooking class will take place in one of these palazzos. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and residential with numerous shops, cafes, and a morning market.
The teacher is a professional chef intimately familiar with traditional Venetian cuisine. Dinner will follow the class, which begins at 5:00PM.
