3 DAYS WINE TOUR OF UMBRIA
4 days/3 nights, minimum 2 participants
Umbria Gourmet and Wine Tour.
This program in Umbria will allow participants to get acquainted with the bounty of Umbrian gastronomy and culinary features. Travelers will discover fantastic Umbrian products and a marvelous Super Red wine along with the best olive oil in the world.
Spoleto is easily reachable from Rome and Florence by train or car. The train ride from Rome is about an hour, and about a 2 hour train ride from Florence.
Day 1 - Arrival
day
Participants arrive at Hotel Clitunno or similar property in Spoleto. Enjoy a presentation of the package. Welcome drink and relaxation. Dinner will follow this evening.
Day 2 -
Spoleto
After a leisurely breakfast, participants will be introduced to Umbrian cuisine. Together with the hotel chef you will learn how to prepare some popular Umbrian antipasti (appetizers) and some of the most popular pasta dishes like Strangozzi and Gnocchi with exquisite sauces like Truffle sauce and Sugo (red sauce). A second course, side dish and dessert will complete the class.
Free time in the afternoon before dinner where you will enjoy a tasting of the prepared dishes.

Day 3 - Montefalco
In the
morning, travel to the small town of Montefalco for a wine tasting at
one of the best Sacrantino
wine.
Sacrantino wine, made with a local native grape, a clone of the ubiquitous San Giovese, called Sacrantino recently became one of the best known Italian Super-reds ahead of the more famous and widely-known Tuscan and Barolo wines.
From here participants will continue to
Bevagna, a perfectly preserved Roman town and a perfectly example
of a ancient urban layout. Here there will be time for lunch and a
brief tour of the town¹s highlights including its beautiful Roman
mosaics. Return to the hotel with time for relaxation before dinner.
Day 4 -End of tour
