| Brunello wine and white truffles
|
We are happy to offer this package that takes place in the area of Crete Senesi one of the most spectacular in southern Tuscany in the wine area of the world famous Super-Tuscan red wine of Brunello di Montalcino. Fall is the perfect season to visit this part of the region, grape harvesting time and glorious weather to go truffle hunting.
You can visit one of the oldest cantina (winery) in the center of the hilltop village that gives the name to the wine. Also, taste some of the best Brunello's vintages, enjoy a cooking class that will teach participants how to prepare some of the most tastier Tuscan recipes: Ribollita, Stracotto, Scottiglia, Coniglio al Brunello and Brasato all these delicacies washed down with some Brunello's you will never find in the wine stores.
Montalcino is about 45 minutes by car South of Siena and about 90 minutes North of Rome, it can be reached by train or we can arrange a chauffeured transfer for any number of people from Rome, Siena or Florence or any location in Italy.
Day 1 - Arrival day
Afternoon arrival in Montalcino, hotel check in rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner with local specialties and overnight.
Day 2 - Truffle hunting day
Breakfast and departure for the truffle hunting area of Torrenieri. Mid-day return to Montalcino. Lunch with truffle dishes and wine tasting, both will happen in the cellar winery, of some excellent Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino vintages.
Rest of the day at disposal. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Cooking day
Breakfast and cooking class. During the class participants will learn dome of the secrets of Cucina Toscana and learn how to prepare a delicious meal at home.
Lunch will follow the cooking class. Afternoon free for you to discover the territory and the narrow streets of the village. Another scrumptious dinner will top the experience.
Day 4 - Departure day
Breakfast and departure for your next destination.
