The area boasts Camogli, with its colorful houses, the solitary “borgo” of San Fruttuoso, and the medieval village of Santa Margherita Ligure, now a modern and sophisticated seaside resort. Rapallo is at the center of what is called “Golfo dei Poeti” (poet’s gulf). Its lovely center is still intact with considerable artistic remains. Not to be missed is also Porto Venere, dedicated to the Love Goddess, and Portofino, the best known of them all with its shell shaped bay and the exquisite yachts and elegant fashion boutiques.
The nearby Cinque Terre with its villages dangling from the cliffs mirrored on the crystal waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea waters, remains the “love path” a trail that connects the villages and provides the playground for an unforgettable honeymoon trip.
