For several years now we have been specialised in "journeys on horseback",
alongside our other activities such as riding lessons, beginners courses and
picnics in the countryside.
Well aware of the beauty of our land and of
its historical and cultural significance, we believe that discovering these
places on horse is one of the best ways to fully appreciate them.
This land, defined as "an immense garden with picturesque borders, a landmass
deeply cut by fan-shaped valleys, an amphitheatre carpeted in rich, splendid
vegetation" (Lenormant in Mazziotti, La Baronia Del Cilento) offers a wide
variety of landscapes, from gentle hills covered by majestic, centuries-old
olive trees, to sheer, deep valleys cut through by lively streams and from
delightful coastlines facing the blue Tirrhenian Sea, to woods of chestnut
trees, holly-oaks and beeches which grow to significant heights just a few
kilometres from the sea.
The surrounding villages perched on rocks or overlooking
the sea, are a sign of how man has chosen to live in this vast and varied
land since ancient times due to the wealth it offers.
We have spacious wooden stables, paddocks, an outdoor school and tack room.
Our "faithful companions" are horses of various breeds from Italian
Saddlehorse to Maremmano, from half-breeds to natives, mostly schooled in
the English-style.
We invite you to sample our cuisine, prepared by expert
hands using genuine ingredients such as olive oil, our own goatsÕ cheese
and typical desserts, all accompanied by a good red wine.
Then as you explore
our land in a simple, genuine and enjoyable way, you will truly get to know
the nature of the Cilentan people.
For lovers of architecture, ancient monasteries and uncontaminated nature,
our countryside will be a pleasant surprise; for lovers of relaxation and
good cooking... we leave you the choice between the many restaurants in the
area and our own pork roasted over an improvised fire...

Gabriele's Travels to Italy continually strive to improve tour itinerary and features. If improvement can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary, we reserve the right to vary itinerary excursions and to substitute hotels and restaurants.
