We met Carlo Zarri several years ago at a promotional travel event. Carlo was with
a delegation of business owners from the Piedmont region. We did some work together
since, I sent some people to his hotel restaurant and moreover we kept in touch in
a way or the other. In the mean time Carlo reputation has risen to very high level.
Executive chef, in charge of pruducing 15,000 meals a day, with the Italian
ski team at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake and with
the Italian team at the Summer Olympic games in Athens. In between Carlo and his wife
Paola, who supervises the dining room and cellar took care of the dinner party for the
wedding of Carlo Ponti Jr. son of super-star Sophia Loren and movie
producer Carlo
Ponti, as well as the annual celebration party of the Ferrari racing tem, an event for
about 650 people on November 27/2004.
Carlo Zarri is the chef owner of the Hotel San
Carlo in Cortemilia a small town in
the Langhe area of Piedmont, better known not only for the white truffle production
but for the Barbera and Barolo wines. Carlo is offering some cooking and wine tasting
classes for a small number of serious chefs and or beginners and food lovers. Here
