Departure to Piazza Armerina and visit the Roman "Villa del Casale" with its
3.500 square meters of beautifully preserved mosaics. Time for lunch. Continue
to Agrigento's Valley of the Temples. The visit includes: the Temple of Juno, Concord,
Heracles, Olympia-Zeus, Castor and Pollux. At the end of the visit
return to Palermo.

Visit the monumental park of Neapolis. The Greek Theatre, Dionysius' Ear,
the Roman Amphitheatre, the Altar of Hiero the Island of Ortigia, the Cathedral,
the Fountain of Aretha and the Temple of Apollo. After lunch (not included) departure
for Catania, orientation tour of the city and return to Taormina.

Monday
Climb up the Mt. Etna volcano, the highest active volcano in Europe up to 7,000 feet.
visit the volcanic landscape of the Silvestri Craters. Return to Taormina.

Wednesday
Departure from Taormina at 7:30AM. Bus ride through the Sicilian countryside with an English-speaking excursion escort. Visit Monreale Norman cathedral and beautiful cloister, continue into Palermo to visit the hidden beauty of this arab-norman city, its Palatine Chapel the Plazzo dei Normanni Martorana Church and the splendid cathedral. On the return trip to Taormina stop in Cefalú to admire its unique Norman architecture. Return to Taormina at around 7:30PM.
