DAY 1: MONDAY-SORRENTO
Welcome in Italy!
Transfer from Naples airport to Sorrento by your chosen transportation. You can transfer from Rome to Sorrento by train or chauffeured, or rental car. If you are in Rome, already, or you would arrive in Rome and return leaving Rome or Florence.
Rest of the day at you disposal. Overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 2: TUESDAY CAPRI
Today, visit of Capri (suggested with guide).
Capri is an enchanting and picturesque island made of limestone rock. A “paradise of idleness” surrounded by the bluest of seas; the dramatically beautiful, flower-covered Island of Capri has been enchanting visitors for centuries. Return to Sorrento late afternoon. Overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 3: WEDNESDAY- FREE DAY
Sorrento is an ideal location to discover the beauties of the region. This tour escort will provide you with a wide range of opportunities, you maight reserve your excursion in advance via your travel agent. Overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 4: THURSDAY-AMALFI DRIVE-
Today enjoy the visit of one of the most intriguing coastline in the world. Amalfi, Positano, Minori, Vietri... The small houses all huddling on top of each other, the breathtaking cliffs, the lemon and olve trees, the small beaches, the Saracen and medieval watch towers, the narrow roads make of this place a unique in the world, so precious to be listed in the Unesco World Heritage. Return to Sorrento. For your farewell to Sorrento chose a panoramic restaurant on the hills of Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 5: FRIDAY-POMPEI/ROME
Transfer to Rome by car. En route stop in Pompei and free time to visit the excavation of this ancient Roman town buried under the ashes of Mont Vesuvio Volcano. After the visit continue to Rome. Upon your arrival in the late afternoon, reach your your hotel. Rest of the day at disposal to familiarize with the Rome city and its long list of historical site you like to visit. Choose a trattoria Romana for dinner. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 6: SATURDAY-VATICAN&THEHEARTOFROME
After breakfast, I suggest guided visit of the Vatican Museums with St. Peter’s church: the masterpieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. At the end, stop for a lunch. In the afternoon, continue walking tour of the heart of Rome: Spanish Steps, Navona Square, People’s Square, the Pantheon. In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner with local wine. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 7: SUNDAY-ROME
Today is free at leisure. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 8: MONDAY-SIENA & SANGIMIGNANO
Today, enjoy a guided visit of Siena & San Gimignano. After breakfast, drive to Florence. The drive itself is a magnificent path along the roads of Tuscany, where it is possible to enjoy the view of hills covered by vineyards,olives tree, small villages and original bell towers. The first stop is Siena, probably Italy’s loveliest medieval city, for a walking tour with a local guide.
Siena’s heart is Il Campo or Campo’s square, where the famous horse race Il Palio takes place two times each summer. The town offer magnificent masterpieces and incredible views. Enjoy a wine tasting with cheese and salami.
Continue to Florence and en route stop in San Gimignano. The town is listed as a World Heritage site and fascinates for its medieval look. Its high towers create a unique skyline. Enjoy the village on your own. Arrival in Florence late afternoon. Free time for dinner. Overnight in Florence.
DAY 9: TUESDAY – FLORENCE
In the morning, enjoy a walking tour of the city, with guide, visit the Accademia. Lorenzo de Medici transformed Florence into the cradle of the Renaissance by attracting the best artists, architects and writers of the time such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli to whom he commissioned various works. Visit Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the Dome with Giotto’s bell tower, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Florence on your own, visiting the Uffizi or taking the opportunity to visit the Chianti area or Lucca.
Overnight in Florence.
DAY 10: WEDNESDAY
The day is free at leisure. There are many optional tours available: Pisa with its leaning tower, Montepulciano and Montalcino, Cortona, Assisi and Perugia and many other. In the late afternoon, transfer to Chianti area to experience a unique opportunity. Enjoy the view of the beautiful hills covered by vineyards and have a fantastic dinner in a farm house, accompanied with Chianti wine. Return late evening at hotel.
Overnight in Florence.
DAY 11: THURSDAY-DEPARTURE
After breakfast, continue to your next destination.
